Educating for peace: a complex endeavour

This website is intended for like-minded people who are interested in learning about and contributing to building bridges between individuals and communities. More importantly, it is for us who are keen on being at peace with oneself.

I view peace-building through the lens of someone who appreciates music and physics. A physics theory proposes that strings are the most fundamental unit that makes our universe. For there to be music, frequencies of sounds produced simultaneously must be in mathematical harmony.

Peace is a fundamental necessity for our flourishing as individuals and communities. Peace cannot materialize nor be nurtured without our desiring and working to live in harmony. And for us to exist sustainably, we must learn to live harmoniously with fellow non-human beings.

I have been a professional educator since the start of this millennium. Being an educator is not just a vocation, it is my ikigai. In the “Thoughts” section, I share the ideas, frameworks and models that inform my thinking and approach to peace education.
